PTA is white powder-like crystal,sublimation at about 300ºC,soluble in alkali solution,slightly soluble in hot ethylalcohol,tiny solubility in water,not soluble in ethyl ether,glacial acetic acid,and chloroform. The product has the features of high purity,even particle-size distribution,good sizing ability,low content of 4-carboxybenzaldchyde(4-CBA). PTA is used as the feedstock to produce polyester by direct esterification continuous condensation and then to produce polyester products.It also can be used to produce plasticizer,polyester lacquer, etc.
